What most people want to know before starting their first test.

How much traffic do I need for A/B testing to work?

A minimum of a few hundred unique visitors per month to the page being tested is generally needed to reach statistical significance in a reasonable timeframe. Lower traffic sites can still run tests; they just take longer to conclude. I'll give you an honest assessment of what's realistic for your traffic level before I start.

Does my site need to be on WordPress?

Yes. I use AB Split Test, which is a WordPress plugin. It runs entirely on your server, which means no third-party data sharing and no external platform fees.

How long does a typical test run?

It depends on your traffic and how big the difference between variations turns out to be. Low-traffic pages might take 4–8 weeks to reach significance. High-traffic pages can produce a clear winner in days. We don't call winners early — we wait for the data.

Will testing slow down my site?

No. AB Split Test runs on your server with no external scripts or third-party calls. It's built to be lightweight and has no measurable effect on page speed.

What if a variation performs worse?

That's still valuable — we learned something. We stop the test, revert to the control, and adjust our hypothesis for the next round. Losing tests are part of the process and don't set you back.

Do I need to be on a care plan to use this service?

No, though it works well alongside one. I can add testing to any WordPress site I have access to. If you're not already a care plan client, I'll need WordPress admin access to set things up.
